Here’s another question…
I was wondering what i should be eating to make my workouts more beneficial. All i know is that protein is good should be consumed after. The last thing is how long after the workout should food or whatever be consumed?
This is a hard one to answer. I think nutrition is really personalized; there isn’t one method that works for everyone. I’m personally a fairly healthy eater, but i don’t use too many supplements. However, the research is there and there is proof that some supplements work, i going to be dabbling in the realm of muscle building alchemy again shortly.
I think, as you alluded to in your question that the trick is when and how to take them. Basically i would talk to a nutritionist if you really want to know. The protein thing i think needs to be taken with a grain of salt. It depends how much you eat already in your diet among other things. I think it’s also important to remember that when taking protein you can gain un-wanted weight as well.
Basically i’ve given no answer to this question and thats because, as i said above, it’s a really individual thing dependent on age, your goals, activity level….etc. All i try to do is eat well and vary my diet.
