Olympic Torch

I’m thrilled to annonce that I’ve been given the opportunity to carry the torch through Pointe-Claire on the 10th of December. I’ll be carrying it at approximately 😉 1:08pm on Boul. St-Jean from around La Brasserie to some place around 300m away from there. This is really an honour for me and I’m so excited to be able to bring the torch to Pointe-Claire. I could not have done what I have done without Pointe-Claire’s support so I think it’s only fitting that I get to give back in some way.  I can remember in 1988 when a good friend of my sister named Marni Brydon  carried the torch through Pointe-Claire along lakeshore. I was six and though my memories are vague at best and have probably been augmented by pictures i’ve seen, the image still sticks with me strongly. To think that 21 years later i’ll be doing the same thing  is really neat. It’s just another example of how you never know what life has in store for you. (As a disclaimer i feel i should note that i downloaded this picture off of google images and the title of it isn’t mine. There has been a lot of jokes made about how the Olympic torch looks like a joint and i guess this photo i downloaded was being used to make the case by someone. No comment.)
